Trina and I went to dinner/bubble tea to discuss wedding planning and to see what has to be done and when.


I think I'm going to hyperventilate soon. Did I even spell that right?

Super super feelings mode, but I just have to say. Ryan has got to be one of the most supportive people I have ever met, I called him all sad today and he made me feel a billion jillion times better, and he even followed up with a few more messages that would make all you girls jealous. I'm so lucky to be marrying this guy.

So, a lot of people have noticed that Ryan and I are pretty low key and laid back. Some people are a little skeptical about us and wonder if there is enough "passion" to last the rest of our lives. Actually, some people have even mentioned to me that they were really surprised to actually see us kiss in the engagement video! Really? Just because we choose to not be all over each other in public, you wonder if we really love each other? Uh.. and this rock on my finger and me moving away has absolutely nothing to do with love? Nothing? ...sometimes, there is no pleasing everybody.

I'm not doing this to prove anything to anybody, it's just a blog anyhow, so I'll just blog about Ryan and I and how these people are wrong (talk about not proving anything to anybody.. hahah..) I've never had a real best friend before, I've had best friends, but not that ONE that I can call whenever I want and that one that everybody identified as my best friend... that is until Ryan came along. I call him whenever I need to talk to someone, and he's the first person I think of when I have a problem. He's the one I laugh with and joke with and be a real kid with. I'm mean and sarcastic, and so is he. That's what I call love, I can laugh and play with him but at the same time I want to be romantic with him. That's just how it is.. and that's how it'll always be. It is what it is, we're just simply in love. Period.

And you know what? I can't wait to be old and wrinkled, but still slowly walk down the street and holding Ryan's hand. YEAH.


Oh yeah, for those people who are skeptical. NOT INVITED. :)

Just to add to Ryan's post below, I do have to say that being in a LDR doesn't help with wedding planning, but we figure out ways to be able to communicate as much as we can despite the distance. For all those couples out there (LDR's) who haven't discovered Skype yet, YOU HAVE TO. Being able to see and talk to the other person makes the distance a little easier to bear. Plus, it lets me see when Ryan pretends to think my ideas are good, but really he's rolling his eyes and pretending to shoot himself in the head..

Blackberries. I don't care about all you iphone lovers out there, I think this is the best invention ever made. My phone bills used to cost an airplane ticket to Jersey, but now it's more normal. Ryan and I message all day every day (literally), and it doesn't cost me an arm, a leg and all of the food that I eat in a whole month. If you don't have one, get on it!

Anyway, that's all I wanted to add to what he had said, as for wedding planning... I may have one item on the list crossed off fairly soon..

So while I'm snowed in for the day, I thought I'd say some thoughts on our wedding planning BESIDES the guest list. Since Mae and I are in a LDR, we're both around computers and the like alot. We can't really just meet for coffee to go over wedding stuff all the time, so obviously we'd be using them to help with our wedding planning.

Normally, I use an Imac when I'm at home, but here is the set up I have at my parents house:


Its not the most elegant, or cleanest set up, but it works.

Powerbook G4 with another 23" Apple Cinema Display: Having a big display helps alot, especially when you are looking at multiple websites, have alot of windows open, running programs etc.

Webcam: Mae just recently got a netbook herself and we've only now discovered the joys of skype. Late passsss! But its great because we can discuss things and send each other links for each other to check out and get feed back right away.

Google Wave: Wow. When I first got the invite for this, its usefulness was questionable, but now we use it to collect information and ideas we've been throwing around. For example, if an idea or a website looks really cool to one of us, we can send the link and or pictures to google wave to go along with all our other wedding stuff. (Google Wave is pictured on the larger screen above)

Gmail/Google Docs, etc: Google in general has been good for us, Gmail obviously for chat/communication, and Google docs so we can have access to documents and can alter them on the fly. I've been keeping my guest list on google docs so I can open it when necessary, make adjustments etc..

Blackberry: This thing has been around world and back, kicked, dropped, slapped, etc. And it still keeps working, and still gets me messages when I need them. Mae and I both have blackberry and use PIN, push email, and whatever else extensively on them.

HP C3100 Printer(Not pictured): This combo printer is good for printing out docs, pics, scan in pictures when we want to share something.

"So, how is wedding planning coming along?"

Stop asking me that!
